The award of the Minister of Science and Higher Education for international accomplishments was handed in during the inauguration of the 17th Exchange of Polish Inventions awarded at world exhibitions in 2009. The gala took place on 8 March 2010 in the main building of the Museum in the Palace of Culture and Science. The statuette and the diploma were handed in by the Undersecretary of State Prof. Witold Jurek. 170 solutions favoured in 2009 in Bangkok, Brussels, Budapest, Bucharest, Damascus, Geneva, Kuala Lumpur, Moscow, Nuremberg, Paris, Seoul, Sevastopol, Taipei, Warsaw, and Zagreb were presented at the exchange, which started on 8 March.
