At the 58th International Exhibition of Innovation, Research and New Technologies “BRUSSELS INNOVA 2009” that took place on 19-21 November 2009 in Brussels, the Institute of Sense Organs Ltd. (Instytut Narządów Zmysłów Sp. z o.o.) was awarded the Gold Medal with Mention. The thus recognised Senses Examination Platform was among more than 350 projects reported to the simultaneous international contest „BRUSSELS EUREKA” that addressed innovative solutions from 15 countries such as Albania, Austria, Belgium, Bosnia and Herzegovina, China, Croatia, Spain, Iran, Malaysia, Moldova, Poland, Slovenia, Romania, Russia and Ukraine. The total number of presented Polish innovations were 119 discoveries, novelties in science, by production enterprises, and individual creators.
In the contest, the Senses Examination Platform, as all other displayed technologies was assessed by an international jury, composed of a team of experts from Belgium and countries participating in the fair. The criteria of assessment followed by the jury were the following: scope of innovation, modernisation and technology, social demand, options of implementation and sales, efficiency of solutions certified by proper results of research, and the manner of presenting and promotional/marketing effect.
The three-day long event ended on 21st November 2009 with the ceremony of official announcing of the outcome of the contest, and awarding of medals and diplomas. The verdict of the jury was announced by Barbara Haller – Chairwoman of Euro-Bussiness Haller and official representative of „Brussels Innova” for Poland, and by Wanda Samborska – Counsellor of the Trade and Investment Promotion Department of the Polish Embassy in Belgium.
The awarded distinction of the contest „BRUSSELS EUREKA”, emphasises the innovative feature of the Senses Examination Platform in the international dimension.
